Peony Vase Arrangement

Nine peony stems in a white vase. Peonies are imported, expensive and available for about six weeks a year, and everybody who knows flowers knows that — which is exactly why this is the arrangement to send to someone who does. Arrives in tight bud and opens enormous over three days.

Peonies arrive deliberately in bud. Warm water speeds them up, cold water slows them down — so you can time when they open. Once open they last three to four days.
